- Editorial fit
- 0–100 desk score for research-workflow fit. Not stars, not a benchmark.
- Evidence level
- How close the desk got: self-run, hands-on, synthesized, or vendor claim.
- Dossier depth
- Flagship, Solid, Lightweight, and Draft describe how finished the page is — not which tool is best.
- Verification date

Google says content in Gemini Notebook, formerly NotebookLM, is not used to directly train its foundational AI models unless you give feedback. If you rate a response, related content can be reviewed by trained teams and kept for up to three years. Workspace and Education accounts have separate protections. Checked 16 October 2026.

NotebookLM is the rare AI workspace where “show me the source” is the product shape. The tool should celebrate that while making clear that grounded-in-your-corpus is not the same as exhaustive or bibliography-ready.
