EPFL: AI Disclosure Rules for Students
It depends on your course and supervisor. EPFL rules (Lex 1.3.3, Article 4) require that anything in assessed work that is not your own original contribution is recognisable, so AI use should be disclosed in a statement. There is no official template: check your course's AI policy or ask your instructor how to word it.
What the official text says
These are the university's own words, quoted as published. Where the original is French, the third column paraphrases it; it is not a translation.

What you have to do
Ask your supervisor before you start writing and keep a short log of every AI use (tool, date, task, what you kept). The declaration is much easier to fill in from a log than from memory.
EPFL's student guidelines say not to use AI in exams or assessments unless it is explicitly allowed. Check your course's AI policy, and ask your instructor if there is none.
What the rule leaves open
We found no central EPFL rule specific to master's theses, and school-level thesis rules were not checked.
